I have the same problem with my sound bar model HW-F355 from Samsung.
I tried many universal remote controls like 2 models from GE 1 model from Shaw and the Giant remote.
Non worked using the codes or the scan.
The silver remote from GE went bad and lost control on other devices it used to control.
So I tried to program the Tv again using scan method but for my surprise on the second time I press the power button to scan codes, the Samsung sound bar model HW-F355 turned off.
Immediately I stopped scanning and saved the code and start using the defected remote from GE to control my Samsung sound bar model HW-F355 and I programed another universal remote I had to control the TV.
It continue working for 3 weeks and suddenly that defected remote got fixed by itself and stopped controlling the Samsung sound bar model HW-F355.
I have a Samsung Soundbar HW-A550 and a Spectrum Remote UR5U-8780L have tried numerous codes, both 4 and 5 digits. None of the codes work, need help. Thanks.
